04 Dec Uzbekistan´s Agricultural Langdscape Transformed: John Deere and UzAuto Deliver Cutting-Edge Cotton Pickers

In a significant development since October 2023, the Republic of Uzbekistan has witnessed the commencement of the delivery of the highly regarded 4-row cotton pickers, model 9970, from John Deere.
Long-established as a favorite among Uzbekistan’s farmers, this cotton picker is cherished for its exceptional technical features, including productivity, maneuverability, ease of operation, and straightforward maintenance. The successful execution of this project is attributed to the collaborative efforts of two giants in Uzbekistan’s agro-industry – John Deere and UzAuto. A total of 50 state-ofthe-art cotton pickers were dispatched, with 15 deployed in the fields of the Bukhara
region under the umbrella of the “Bukhoro Agro Cluster.” The remaining 35 units found their place in the largest textile agro-cluster in Uzbekistan, known as “Uztex.” This strategic partnership not only underscores the commitment to advancing agricultural practices in Uzbekistan but also reinforces the nation’s position as a key player in the global cotton industry. The infusion of these cutting-edge cotton pickers is expected to enhance efficiency, streamline operations, and contribute to the continued success of Uzbekistan’s vibrant agricultural sector.
